Website Templates
Need a template customized?
All website themes are customizable and can be adapted to suit specific contexts and situations. Customizing a template can include updating the images, the menu links, and writing prompts to reflect your project’s completion criteria.
Connect with the LT&I team at learningtech@tru.ca to discuss your project so we can collaboratively customize a template for you and visit your classroom to support student website development.
Course Templates
Displaying course information on a website makes the information open and accessible and provides opportunities for creativity. The level of student interaction is up to you!
Portfolio Templates
Website portfolios provide students with a space to curate and showcase their learning while developing their digital literacy skills. Students can control the privacy of the site through site settings and password protected pages.
Assignment Templates
A great companion to some authentic and meaningful assessments are websites. They can be designed for students to complete work individually, collaboratively in small groups, or collaboratively class-wide.
Research & Professional Templates
Building a website for research and professional initiatives creates an open access space for documenting and presenting processes, findings, and professional works.
SPLOT Templates
SPLOT templates help you create simple, collaborative WordPress sites for your teaching. They are designed with two core principles in mind:
- make it as easy as possible to post activity to the open web in an appealing and accessible way and
- allow users to do so without creating accounts, or providing any required personal information.
